The Feministing crew is honored, humbled, and blown away by the outpouring of support our Kickstarter received on its first day. As of writing this, we’re about to cross $10,000 from 300 backers, which brings us 1/3 of the way to our goal for relaunching Feministing!

We know yesterday’s fundraising success is down to you, the Feministing community. We’re so grateful for every dollar you give and everyone you encourage to donate, as well.

We thought you might like to know you were joined yesterday by Rosario Dawson as a backer of the campaign:

Big thanks also go to Jamie Kilstein and our friends at Citizen Radio – their perk of an “I Only Fuck Feminists” tote bag and Jamie’s new CD was picked up quickly yesterday. Books by Courtney Martin, Jessica Valenti, and Jaclyn Friedman were also snatched up quickly, as were cookies made by me, a relationship email written by our own Maya Dusenbery, and lunch with Baratunde Thurston. There’s still a ton of exciting perks left, though – check them out!

Now we need to keep up the momentum to reach our goal. Please share, tweet, and tell your friends about the Kickstarter, and of course please donate!
