Katie Halper is one of the newest additions to the Feministing team, and I’m thrilled to celebrate her birthday today! Battling the humorless feminist stereotype once sarcastic post at a time, Katie has been lending her sharp wit and caustic sense of humor to the site for about 6 months now. A comic and filmmaker, Katie is also a kind and caring friend and colleague who’s straight shooting candor I’ve come to really value in my life. Whether she’s making hard-hitting points about the death penalty or helping me find the best hole-in-the-wall eats on the lower east side, I’m so appreciate of her contributions and glad she’s part of the team.
