Awesome professor live-tweets her kid’s abstinence sex education class

Alice Dreger, a professor of medical humanities and bioethics, recently sat in on her kid’s abstinence-based, fear-based sex education class. She live-tweeted her incensed reactions to the teachers’ warnings that premarital sex will lead to all sorts of doom and gloom, that condoms are riddled with holes, and that you should wait until you find a girl who says “no” and put her on a pedestal.

Some highlights:

Dreger is no longer welcome at the school. Check out the rest of her rant here and read her previous article about why we should tell kids the truth about sex — that it’s fun. Radical idea, I know.
