As you’ve probably heard by now, today is #GivingTuesday, a day set aside during this season of commercialism to support causes that are important to you. We’re fundraising today so we can afford to pay our hard working crew the small year end stipends that aren’t nearly enough for all they do at Feministing.

Feminism is having something of a moment. Beyonce’s in. So is Emma Thompson. And while I’m thrilled to see feminist values reach a wider audience, I also worry that with such popularity come real pitfalls and challenges.
