Power Gained via Strap-on Sex With Men?

My SO and I have been thinking about using a strap-on on him. It’s not going to happen for some time, but conversation has opened up. He’s nervous because of the way society has basically told him that he’s gay if he does that and it’s bad. But he is open to the idea and a big part of him really does want to. So we’ve been looking online for information and harnesses and dildos and whatnot, and a lot of rhetoric about power comes up. You know, how ‘women enjoy gaining power’ when using a strap-on to penetrate their male lover.With something other than a finger,I haven’t found much on women feeling empowered by using a finger to penetrate anally.

First of all, what exactly are the implications here? I understand that power is something involved, I feel a little empowered just thinking about wearing a harness, even if it’s not with the dildo in it. But I think a lot of comes from the idea that to have power in sex is to penetrate. And to me, that’s more than a little messed up. I mean, what does that say about men and women in their natural state? Are women really considered naturally powerless in sex just because we are the ones being penetrated? It shows in gay men relationship ideas we have, too: the one receiving is the ‘woman,’ the ‘bitch,’ if you will.

Who Knew Rape Could Be So Funny?

My boyfriend and I were talking about the ridiculousness that is the "man rule" and he pulled up a facebook group called "Man Laws." The second rule is to always respect women, though after looking at the 100-some laws, it seems that only raping/beating a woman is considered disrespectful. Repulicans are Classy.

At least according to a floor-mate in my college dorm.

This girl on my floor had a lot of comics and signs up letting everyone know she was Republican weeks before the election. I saw on her white board on her door today someone had written "How do you like the turnout of the election?" (I have a "victory!!" sign on my door with a picture of Obama, and it’s right across the hall from the bathroom, so I’m guessing she noticed.) She drew an arrow to the message on her whiteboard saying, and I quote:

"This is why I’m republican. We are classy and don’t rub it in people’s faces."

Ha. I laughed. Sure, she didn’t rub her victory in anyone’s face ...

Sexy Halloween Costumes

Ok, so my boyfriend and I are kind of kinky. He got the idea to wear sexy costumes for each other on halloween, and I think it would be fun. So I did some investigating, and as I expected, most ‘his and her’ costumes consist of a fully clothed man and half-naked woman. This is issue number one.

I am in love with this Olbermann interview. The guy was dead on with the whole “Joe the Plumber” thing, which I quite frankly was sick of the first 2 times I heard the name.
