No women allowed

Yet another step back for women….

In an effort to raise money for men’s cancers, a Manitoban shopping center has created a “MensDen” for men to escape the holiday shopping frenzy. For a mere donation of at least $5, men over the age of 18 are able to enjoy Hi Def TVs,  play video games and wi fi. Oh and no women allowed. That’s right as their website and on a sign in front of the MensDen states “men only”. This appears to fly in the face of Manitoba Human Rights that states “[the code]…prohibits unreasonable discrimination in areas such as employment, housing, accommodation, the provision of services or contracts and signs and notices”.

Guess the management forgot that little detail (accidentally..on purpose perhaps?).

When will girl gamers get some respect?

Now I’ve been on a computer since I was 2, before it was even in vogue to have toddlers mashing on child sized controllers. So needless to say I’m a fairly avid gamer. From Halo to Splinter Cell I’ve battled aliens and spies with the best of em and yes I’ve even played The Sims…

So when I came across another review by Ben “Yahtzee” Croshaw (aka zero punctuation) on Sims 3 I was eager to hear his rant.  His reviews are often filled with sarcastic comments, amusing if sometimes crude analogies and the occasional F-bomb (as does this one…FYI for those who may be offended).

Unfortunately, it seems Zero Punctuation was unable to come with anything creative that week ...

Stephen Fry claims women don’t really like sex

To paraphrase this article, according to Steven Fry straight women only go to bed with men “because sex is the price they are willing to pay for a relationship.”

Wow really….I don’t know where to begin with that tired old belief.

The fact I choose to not have sex with strangers behind a bush (although I’m sure some women have and whatever floats your boat!) does not mean I (or any other straight women) doesn’t enjoy sex with men.
