It seems that France is one country who is finding a way to translate what many of us have known into policy: oftentimes verbal abuse leads to physical abuse/assault. There is a law that might go on the books that could convict partners of “psychological violence”…connecting verbal/emotional abuse to later physical violence. Here’s hoping this would actually lead to prevention of any escalation of abuse.
