Obama has appointed Amanda Simpson into a high level advisory role in the Bureau of Industry and Security. Which isn’t to exciting, except for the fact that Amanda is a trans woman who is open about her transition.
Babysteps, I know. And when 1 in twelve transgendered people are murdered, this isn’t enough. But its something.
