Whilst it’s hard to know all the aspects of her defense, the idea that she breached her duties to the military is incorrect under international law. All military personnel have a legal duty under the Geneva conventions to report war crimes. It is all those in the US military and the other coalition forces who knew of these crimes and did not report them who are the criminals
