Please Support Feministing this #GivingTuesday!

Today is #GivingTuesday, a day set aside in this season of commercialism to support causes and organizations doing important work. And we here at Feministing are asking for your help so we can continue being a platform for young feminist thought and action. Please donate now!

I’ve been a Feministing reader since I was in high school. I became interested in feminism through a domestic violence peer advocacy program, and wanted to learn everything I could. So I turned to Feministing for smart, snarky, and accessible writing that helped me learn about feminist thought and action through an intersectional lens.

I’m now a senior in college and a campus organizer. Me and all of my friends read Feministing constantly, to deepen our understanding of the refugee crisis, reproductive justice, sex work, and so many other critical feminist issues. We rely on Feministing to stay connected to the many facets of this movement.

I’m asking you to support Feministing on #GivingTuesday because I know my connection to Feministing isn’t unique. If you value the work we do too, financial support for Feministing is critical so we can keep bringing you the news and analysis you rely on. Your donation means that a whole new generation of activists can benefit from the timely, accessible, and revolutionary writing by a diverse group of young feminists.

We need to raise $2000 today so we can wrap up the current fiscal year. It’s a small amount when compared to the goals of some other organizations – Feministing is run on a shoestring budget – so every donation, no matter what you can afford, goes a long way. These funds will pay the small stipends we make for our hard work here. Any money we raise beyond this goal sets us up for a 2016 when we have ambitious plans to better fund our work.

Will you please support us today? And while you’re at it, check to see if your company will double your gift.

Thank you!
