Read one Texas abortion doctor’s scathing ultrasound informed consent form

In Texas, abortion doctors are required by law to perform an ultrasound and display and describe the image to their patient before the procedure. But the state can’t mandate that they be happy about this intrusion into the sacred doctor-patient relationship.

And at least one doctor makes sure her patients are fully informed of exactly what she thinks of this meddling by the Texas legislators “and their ideologues.” A Redditor who recently terminated a pregnancy in the state posted an image of the scathing consent form her doctor had her sign.

This should definitely be standard practice.
