I wonder why the GOP is blocking these nominees

nomsThe wonderful Jennifer Bendery at Huffington Post has done us all the favour of putting together a little Brady Bunch-style grid of all the nominees who are being blocked by the GOP right now. From Circuit Court judges to the Federal Housing Finance Agency, our government is riddled with vacancies. Which is cool, I mean, it’s not like we need a functioning government or whatever – we can just settle all legal disputes through arm wrestling, or trivia contests! And the GOP is blocking the nominations of many of the people who, if confirmed, would fill those vacancies. Bendery’s picture makes the eloquent point that a lot of these nominees have something in common: they aren’t white dudes.
