Happy birthday, Katie!

Today is the birthday of our very own Katie Halper, a woman who disproves every day the stereotype that feminists don’t have a sense of humour, simply by existing. We’re so thrilled to have Katie on board here at Feministing, and I know our readers really appreciate what she brings to our big purple feminist table.

To celebrate her on this glorious anniversary of her birth, you should all watch this video that she co-wrote, in which a whole bunch of people tell men who don’t care about reproductive health to go fuck themselves. I second, third, and fourth that sentiment.

Happy birthday, Katie!

Happy birthday, Katie! Just one comment on the video—equating being a woman with having a vagina ignores the reality of trans* people. We should not be ignoring trans* women!
