For a movie about dudes with big muscles who punch things, The Avengers treats its few female characters pretty well. Which isn’t a big surprise, since the movie is written and directed by Buffy creator Joss Whedon. But the film’s advertising has featured Black Widow in the standard “look at my ass!” poses we’ve sadly come to expect for our female superheroes.
Artist Kevin Bolk was tired of this sexist cliche and decided to change it up:

Check out the cabooses on those fellas…..! Hilarious.
Ha! When I first saw the picture I actually burst out laughing! Yeah, that pretty much sums up how female’s are portrayed on those kind of covers. Sad.
So some things work out fine when guys do them, but not so good when girls do them and the other way around, such as rhytmic gymnastic. Not exactly breaking news.
Oh please, they only look more ridiculous when done by men due to your assumptions and upbringing.
Captain America had the best butt in the movie and it would have “worked out” even finer to concentrate on his rather than Johansson’s.
The people who always argue socializing and upbringing constantly overlook that human societies across time and age developped in very similiar ways when it comes to gender. Most girls idea of sexy and attractive isnt a guy posing like a female stripper. Of course girls with tastes opposed to the mainstream exist, just like guys exist who drool over female bodybuilders, but they are the minority and a medium that is looking to sell as many copies as possible aims for the majority.
Blah,Blah, *insert evo psych bullshit*
