Wow is this the fall of Rush Limbaugh?
What Rush Limbaugh said is horrible and these female vets have every reason to want him off the air. Many right wingers can dismiss Sandra Fluke but it’s hard to dismiss women who fought for freedom. It’ll be interesting to hear what Rush says about these women if he even has a response for them. Whether you agree with war or not it’s generally agreed by all parties that troops should be respected and in this case female vets supporting a “liberal” agenda are in the spotlight. Republicans claim to be more pro military, wonder if there will just be silence regarding these women.
Everyone agrees that his comments were sexist as hell. Yesterday I was watching some politics show and they were discussing Bill Maher’s slut and cunt comments of Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann and how there was no backlash against him. I know those two women aren’t the most feminist friendly but there is some hypocrisy in slamming one host and not the other for similar comments.
Feministing has already slammed Bill Maher for making sexist jokes before. So, no one here has singled him out.
