PPNYC Ticket Giveaway: Spend the night with Lizz Winstead

At her comedy show to benefit Planned Parenthood of New York City, that is.

Next Thursday, the Daily Show co-creator is making a stop on her “Planned Parenthood, I’m Here For You!” tour to NYC, and we’ve got some tickets to give away!

In addition to Lizz’s awesomeness, the show at Gramercy Theatre will include other bad-ass women like Sandra Bernhard, Lisa Lampanelli, Joan Walsh of Salon, and musical guest Ambrosia Parsley. In short, it’s going to be one big, hilarious pro-choice party.

Now, on to the trivia! PPNYC has graciously offered us two tickets to give away to Feministing readers, so I will grant free tickets to the first two people that email me with the correct answer to this question: UPDATE: Congrats to winners Emma and Katie!

If Lizz were going to an desert island and had to pick one feminist to bring with her, who would it be?

*Hint: If you read one of our Feministing series regularly, you’ll be able to find the answer to this question pretty easily. Didn’t make the trivia cut? Buy tickets here — it’s a good deal for such a great line-up, and you’ll be supporting PPNYC in the process.

Trump’s massive cuts to SSDI break his campaign promise never to cut Social Security. $143 billion in cuts to federal student loan programs – and it would ...

No Bernie, There’s No Economic Justice Without Abortion Access

On Thursday, Senator Bernie Sanders flew to Nebraska to campaign for Health Mello, a Democrat running for Mayor of Omaha. The stop is part of Bernie’s “Unity Tour” with Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez — the beginning of a national effort to rebuild and unite Democrats around a shared vision for the party’s future.

Here’s the catch: Heath Mello is a longtime opponent of abortion access who sponsored a 20-week abortion ban in 2010. It contained no exceptions for rape or incest. Mello has also co-sponsored legislation requiring doctors to perform medically-unnecessary ultrasounds, and he voted for a bill to
