Yesterday during a subcommittee hearing, a Congressman accused Elizabeth Warren, special adviser to the President and front-runner to head the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, of lying.
Elizabeth Warren (on whom I have a documented lady brain crush) was having none of that.
Check out the look on Warren’s face when Rep. Patrick McHenry accuses her of lying and breaking her agreement on how much time she would spend testifying before this particular subcommittee.

There are rumours that Warren is being recruited by the Democrats to run for the Massachusetts senate seat currently held by Republican Scott Brown. If those rumours are true, watch out, Mr. Brown. Watch the hell out.

Check out Rep. Jackie Speier’s address to Congress calling for Rep. McHenry to apologize to Warren. Her response can be found on her JackieSpeierCA12 YouTube channel. She is such a bad-ass.
he’ll probably come out with a response along the lines of his comment was “not meant to be a factual statement.”
Great article Chloe! Right now there’s a letter with over 150,00 signatures urging President Obama to give a recess appointment to Elizabeth Warren to lead the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Would this be something Feministing would be willing to post on the “Take Action” section? http://pccc.me/ju4sbR
