Talking of the show’s cast, a mention of it would be incomplete without due regard to the most attractive detective on the show, who keeps hoards of fans glued – Officer Natalia Boa Vista.

The role of Officer Natalia is played by Eva LaRue, and watching her makes one feel that she was born to play this role. The magnificence with which she gets under the skin of her character, speaks volumes for her brilliance. We saw her being introduced as a DNA analyst in the initial runs of the show.

You initially saw her escaping from an abusive marriage, following which, she got associated with a society for battered women. This ended up being beneficial for the investigatory department, since it solved the mystery underlying the murder of a woman.

When you watch the fourth season of CSI Miami, you’ll witness a revelation that came up in the concluding episodes of this season.  In an interesting turn of events, this eye-opener threw light on the fact, that Natalia was an FBI informant in the lab, and was assigned to assist in building a case against Horatio Caine and his team. Season 5 of the CSI Miami episodes saw this damsel in distress, when she discovered that her abusive ex-husband, Nick Townsend, was out of jail. The two shared an edgy relationship, until Nick’s murder, for which Natalie was considered as the prime suspect.

Natalie has been seen facing an ever-increasing turmoil in CSI Miami, with many episodes having plots that end up leading to an added chaos in her life. Incidents that saw her in anguish included the discovery that her sister, Anya, was one of the suspects that the CSI’s were tracking down. She was then seen shooting a suspect in self-defense, when she was finally granted permission to possess a fire arm.

In one of the most shocking plots, Natalie suffered a hearing loss in a meth lab explosion, and it was later revealed, that the hearing loss that was caused before the explosion, was indeed due to the abusive acts of her ex-husband towards her.
