“One Regular, One Indian” Are you freaking kidding me?

I was browsing different websites today, as I typically do when I am bored, and I found a link to this little gem from a video game forum I frequent: One Regular, One Indian

I don’t know why, but for some reason I was astounded by the ignorance of the two white girls here. I was also disgusted. Here’s a few reasons.

1. I don’t care what color you are, you do not get to decide what race or regional origin of another person. If a person tells you that they are Asian, then she is Asian. She is not African just because you think she looks African, ESPECIALLY if that reason is because she has dark skin. There’s white people in Africa too genius, and yes, they were born there. Not all Asians have "pointy eyes" as you so cleverly put it. She’s not Asian because she wants to be Asian, she’s Asian because she’s from a country in Asia! Oh, and being white doesn’t make your other friend "regular."
2. There actually are people in this world, and in this country who don’t believe in Jesus. Just because someone has different religious beliefs than you doesn’t give you a right to tell them that they are wrong. There is no proof that Jesus was a real person that did all the supernatural things that the Bible tells us, it’s called faith. You claim that you care about this girl and you don’t want to see her burn in hell. I think I would have to disagree. You don’t care about her, because if you did, you wouldn’t tell her that you can’t be friends because she doesn’t love Jesus. It isn’t her fault that she can’t feel Jesus in her heart, it’s not because she’s not open enough, she has different beliefs and you should respect that she has different beliefs. If she chooses to believe in Krishna (who is not the Hindu name for Jesus, he’s an entirely different person and actually predates Jesus by several hundred years) instead of Jesus that is her right.

3. One thing you are right about is that Saraa isn’t a bad person. At least I’m assuming she’s not, I don’t know her after all. A person can be a good person and not be Christian, it isn’t a requirement. What this boils down to is that you and your friend are the ones who are closed minded, insisting that Saraa is the one who needs to change. Frankly I don’t understand how she could stand talking to you for that long without snapping, and I’m quite impressed with her patience. There’s this thing called colonialism, and you’re exhibiting it in this video. Western beliefs, cultures, people etc. are not automatically better or more correct than Eastern ones.

4. In conclusion, Hindu is not the only religion in India. There are Muslims, Buddhists and a few Christians there as well. India is in fact in Asia, not Africa. Look at a map. Not all Asians have pointy eyes. Religion is about faith, not fact. Christianity is not right and Hindu is not wrong.

Seriously, I don’t want to play the racism card here, but it’s REALLY hard not to. I’ll just leave this blog at that.
