U.S. poverty rate rises

The Census Bureau reports that the nation’s poverty rate rose to 12.7 percent of the population last year; there were 37 million people living in poverty, up 1.1 million people from 2003.

Legal Momentum
reported last year that women are 40 percent more likely to be poor than men in 2003. (If they come out with another study for the 2004 Census findings, we’ll let you know.) Ninety percent of adult welfare recipients are women.
Yeah, I know. I’m a downer.

this is a very good point. WOmen are thown into the dumpster of perpetual poverty so that others can walk on their backs. If society was fair, the bottom 10% would be 50% male.
WHy is it when women are in the majority it is always for something that sucks, like poverty.
Does anyone know if women also have the majority of STD’s?
All I know is that men are behind this. If women ruled society, you can bet your ass that women would not make up the majority of poor folk. Life is so unfair, why does there have to be a bottom 10% in anything?

Capitalism. Capitalism is why there has to be a bottom 10%.
