In my more youthful and energetic days, I read and reviewed an entire book co-authored by Phyllis Schlafly, a rather absurd endeavor given that Schlafly’s worldview is hopelessly incoherent, hypocritical, and fantastical, but which left me with an enduring fascination with the career anti-feminist, who is still at it at age 90.

“What you’re doing is attempting to limit my choices, and I don’t appreciate that.”

Phyllis Schlafly has made a long and successful career for herself by telling other women to get back in the kitchen. At this point, the fact that she’s been singing the same anti-feminist tune for decades — not to mention her apparently shameless hypocrisy — makes it a little hard to take her seriously anymore. Wednesday Weigh-In: Bachmann and Schlafly Lovefest Edition

We can’t be too surprised that Michele Bachmann is gaga for anti-feminist Phyllis Schlafly, but to contend that the woman who has made her very career trying to destroy gender equality is the most important woman in the country?
