Bachmann Sexism Watch: Get this conservative woman some sex edition

Yesterday Andy Richter, trusted Team Conan sidekick and long-working funnyman, took to Twitter to express his views on the woman that every feminist loves to hate to defend: “There’s nothing wrong with Michele Bachmann that two solid weeks of orgasms couldn’t cure,” he opined.

How lovely. At the time of this writing, this insightful piece of political commentary has garnered over 100 Retweets.

As for those who found the joke less than funny? Richter’s second response is this: “Many cried ‘misogyny!’ re: earlier Bachmann tweet. I take solace in knowing that as bad as I am, I am half the misogynist she is.”

Remember Palin Sexism Watch and Hillary Sexism Watch during the last presidential election? I guess it’s time for the Bachmann version.

Mother Jones of all places wrote yesterday about Michele Bachmann’s hair and makeup bill:

According to Bachmann’s latest campaign finance filings, her campaign spent nearly $4,700 on hair and makeup in the weeks after she entered the presidential race on June 13. Records show her campaign made three payments of $1,715, $250, and $2,704 to a Maryland-based stylist named Tamara Robertson. Robertson’s LinkedIn profile says she works as a makeup artist at Fox News in the DC area. She’s also listed in the “Make-up” section of the credits for the Citizens ...

Is what a group of gay activists were screaming as they bombarded Michele Bachmann’s hubby Marcus’s anti-gay center wherein he “reforms” those “gay barbarians.” Their ask? To tame away the gay–they wanted to be disciplined by Marcus Bachman himself. The new trend in glitter flash mobs already took my breath away, but asking an anti-gay evangelist to discipline you, while sprinkling glitter, is the very stuff of liberal comedic success.

I know what you’re thinking: Why would I ever give a Feminist Fuck Yeah to Michele Bachmann? Because she isn’t one — a feminist, that is — and acknowledges that very fact. So, yes — thank you, Michele Bachmann, for not appropriating the word and the movement like fellow GOP lady Sarah Palin did. After all, it allows us to spend our time focusing on what really makes you suck as a person.

(Now if we can only get her to acknowledge that her “Empowered American” bit is actually code for “bigoted asshole.”)
