Last week, on the International Trans Day of Visibility, We Happy Trans and This is HOW honored 100 trans* Americans. The launch event was also cosponsored by Chicago House and GLAAD.

According to Buzzfeed, “the Trans 100 represents an effort — which will hopefully be reflected across the LGBT community — to break down implicit (and explicit) transphobia in media coverage by highlighting the diversity of trans Americans.”

Some well known trans activists were included, such as Kate Bornstein, Harper Jean Tobin, and Dr. Kortney Ryan ...
