I assume that I should know everything, and be able to accomplish all tasks set to me, without help, sleep, or tears. We all really need to stop caring about Lebron James’ mother’s sex life

Meet Lambo.

Lebron James’ mother is dating a rapper who is only three years older than him, and who likes to publicly express admiration for the two-time NBA champion. This apparently threatens the collective ego of basketball fans around the country.

Since the Internet uncovered this guy, fans and haters have gleefully pointed to comments on the rapper’s Instagram account big-upping Lebron, calling him a “role model” before declaring that “life is about being positive”. They openly mock photos where he displays LeBron’s championship ring and models it for the camera (Deadspin helpfully points out that he “has to use two fingers” because the ring is too big on him).

Service Women’s Action Network to launch 11-11-11 website to honor women veterans

What kinds of narratives exist around the experiences of women veterans?

According to the Service Women’s Action Network (SWAN), not enough. That’s why SWAN announced this week that they will honor women veterans this Veterans Day with the launch of a special website capturing firsthand accounts of women veterans. The site, http://www.womenveteransday.org, houses digital stories of women who have served, and will be updated regularly with more women’s stories.

SWAN is a national human rights organization founded and led by women veterans.
