Hillary Clinton supports same-sex marriage

Duh. But awesome.

She’s right–America is at its best when we champion the freedom and dignity of every human being. It is not surprising but important and necessary that Democratic politicians continue to come out in support of same-sex marriage.

It’s going to take a global movement to ensure all people regardless of sexuality can live as who they are and be embraced. If you are interested in this, check out All Out and join the largest global movement fighting for LGBTQ rights.

Conservative SuperPAC interns make a fake sex tape with a panda and Hillary Clinton

FreedomWorks is an astroturf conservative tea party group financed in large part by the Koch Brothers and Big Tobacco.  Elements of the tea party may have started on the grassroots level, but that didn’t last for long when rich conservatives saw the movement as an opportunity to capitalize on the tea party’s energy.  Enter FreedomWorks.

The investigation into FreedomWorks management is ongoing but today’s report in Mother Jones contained this gem (emphasis mine):

An internal investigation of FreedomWorks—the prominent conservative advocacy group and super-PAC—has focused on president Matt Kibbe’s management of the organization, his use of its resources, and a controversial book deal he signed, according to former FreedomWorks officials who have met with the private lawyers conducting the ...

How to deal with a mansplainer starring Hillary Clinton in gifs

Sometimes you don’t realize how #bawse somebody is, until you make it into a gif.

So after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton smacked down the Senate and the House yesterday, it occurred to me that what made it magical is that it is an instructional video on how to deal with a mansplainer. And of course, any good tutorial needs to be broken down into gifs for emphasis.

Ladies and gentlemen, “How to deal with a mansplainer starring Hillary Clinton.”

Step 1: Raise your hands up like, “Whoa you guys you can’t be serious.”

Step 2: Make sure to emphasize your points by counting with your hands so that simple tea party Senator mansplainer understands.  Mansplainers like visuals.

Guess which conservative says Hillary Clinton is unbeatable

We’ve probably all heard or said that Hillary Clinton would be a great candidate for president. And certainly, Democrats and strategists from Nancy Pelosi to Kirsten Gillibrand to David Plouff to James Carville are urging her to run or say she would make a great candidate. It’s not often we hear this kind of talk coming from the right, especially from someone who was almost the Republican nominee for president. But this Sunday, on Meet the Press, Newt Gingrich, in a rare moment of honesty, came out and said it:

If their [the Republicans'] competitor in ‘16 is going to be Hillary Clinton, supported by Bill Clinton and presumably a still relatively popular president Barack Obama, trying to win ...

Quick Hit: Hillary Clinton has already won the 2016 election

Ok, so not really. But according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll, 57% of Americans would support her hypothetical 2016 presidential candidacy. Nope, that’s not a typo: in our supposedly hopelessly partisan country, most people like the idea of Hillary Clinton in the White House. Everyone also just thinks she’s great. From the Washington Post:

On both scores — personal popularity and job performance — Democrats are overwhelmingly supportive of the long-time party leader, as are around two-thirds of independents. Even sizable numbers of Republicans are on board here, particularly when it comes to rating how she is doing as secretary of state: 40 percent approve and 50 percent disapprove. (At last measure, barely 12 percent of GOP ...
