Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is fast upon us, and this short film from KQED has me teary-eyed over what a beautiful time of the year this is. I love having this moment to reflect on those who paved the way for me in this life, a chance to eat great food, surround myself with colors, and cherish my loved ones just a little more. I also appreciate it as an opportunity to be very thoughtful about the difference between cultural appropriation and appreciation, and to foster learning and exchange among diverse communities.
