What about the fatties? Feminist ramblings on @PostBigFines

As a card-carrying member of Black Twitter and a self-identified (and sometimes non-consensually labeled) fat girl, I have a love/hate relationship with @PostBigFines. This Twitter account — originally named @PostBigBitches — follows the trend of admiration sites like @PostBadBitches, @PostBadTatts, and my personal favorite @PostBadBeards (swoons). As mentioned in their bio, PostBigFines is a place to admire women of “all levels of thickness.”

Statement about my “Age & Consent” post

My original post, about my experience with consent was an excerpt from something on my personal blog. It was a mistake for me to think that everyone would be able to clearly define what is mine vs. what is Feministing’s.

Let me be even more clear than I am in the original post, which you can find if you are connected to me on any social media: my own personal experiences with consent at 13 are just that, mine. Thanks for letting me cook and engaging in these difficult conversations with me.
