New Jersey/New York
Hello Feministing! My name is Zaneta and I am a recent graduate of Ramapo College of NJ. In conjunction with majoring in history and minoring in women and gender studies, I also worked for the campus Women’s Center as the Queer Peer Services Coordinator. That’s where I first discovered/fell in love/identified with feminism and activism.
Come August, I’ll be attending NYU for my Masters in Higher Education/Student Personnel Administration. I’ll also be the Graduate Assistant at NYU’s Office of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Student Services!!!! Students’ experiences on college campuses is a particular passion of mine, especially the fracturing/prioritizing of multiple identities. Of course many of us face this experience in different activist spaces as well! Most of my activism has been within college campuses, but I love connecting with all communities across lines of diversity to discuss and dissect privilege and power. Let’s celebrate what makes us different while connecting through the oppression we all must face!
Peace and Love.
