This was a decent article, until the very end, where you specifically objected to “unelected judges throwing out law”. I was frankly disturbed to read that phrase on a feminist blog, because the vast majority of the times I’ve seen that phrase used, “unelected judges throwing out the law” is meant as a slam against [...]

Okay, I think I understand. Of course it would be better if people with disabilities were less stigmatized in society! And it would be better for there to be adequate support networks for parents of children with disabilities (whether the disabilities exist at birth or occur later in life). And for parents considering abortion to [...]

You don’t see a logical difference between allowing abortion of fetuses who would be born with disabilities and allowing euthanasia of infants with disabilities if parents didn’t know in advance? *wince* Let me try to persuade you otherwise. Many folks call such adult oriented animations hentai or in Western terms: porn. I’m confused. Are you simply saying that many people (mistakenly) label all [...]

Show some leg? I’m pretty sure that if I did that, it would have the opposite effect of making my male colleagues attracted to me, given our culture’s gendered beauty norms and the fact that I’m “seriously overweight”* and don’t shave. *Term used by my work’s annual health screening, based on BMI calculated from my [...]

“She’s trying to teach them anti-choice messages before they even know the basics of human reproduction.”

I’m pretty sure that’s intentional. It’s much, much easier to trivialize the risks of pregnancy and connect pregnancy with shame if your target audience doesn’t know much about human reproduction.
