Vanessa is a New York City-born and based blogger, activist, writer and online strategist. She is currently the managing editor at Feministing, which she co-founded with Jessica Valenti in 2004. She has been active doing off and online work with several feminist organizations over the last decade, including Mount Sinai’s Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention Program, NARAL Pro-Choice America, Girls for Gender Equity, NARAL Pro-Choice New York, Planned Parenthood and the National Institute for Reproductive Health. For the approximately 2 hours per day she isn’t online, she likes to chill with her partner and their two abnormally hyper cats, break some balls in her local NYC pool league, or have a feminist dance party.
