What?! Sent to prison for not following the dress code? Flatulence? This is beyond absurd! There should be strong legal action against the people implementing thee policies, I can’t believe they are doing this to children- Sending them to the same institution that is associated with murder, violence and heinous crimes? Unfuckingbelievable!

I found Oprah’s attitude on her visit to India very condescending. Yes, there is a lot of poverty in India, but I agree with Emily: People find ways to be happy. I often travel to villages, and the warmth and hospitality of the people simply amazes me – They will welcome you graciously to their [...]

Hi all, I wrote this poem because of the sheer frustration I felt at people opposing same-sex marriage. Poetry is how I deal with issues that I care about, so this is a product of that thought. This goes out to all the amazing, loving same-sex couples in the world: Wait, Wait Let me [...]

I know I am very late to discover it, but I discovered Sarah Kay’s Poetry last night – I watched Youtube videos of her spoken word poetry for 3 hours straight. Being a poet myself, she has opened a whole new door for me – by making me realize that my poetry doesn’t only have [...]

Shubhangi Joshi commented on the blog post Daniel Tosh “jokes” that woman in audience should be raped at stand-up show 10 months, 2 weeks ago · View
This is absolutely disgusting. Only a person steeped in privilege can say something as horrible as that and think it’s a joke. He threatened her with gang rape, and thought it’s funny? What, really? And there are tons of people defending his right to say such BS. Makes me lose my faith in humanity even [...]
