  • Also, at the risk of sound old-fashioned, since when do we accept Twitter as an appropriate channel for making apologies? Even if it had really sounded like an apology I would find the mere fact that it was made via Twitter a reason to question it’s sincerity.

I think that the real question should be what are we going to do if this law is struck down? Go back to the way it was before? That seems pretty sucktastic to me. Thank you for this post. I just had a very similar conversation last night. As one of the 2.5 million that you [...]

I’ll be signing every petition I can get my hands on even though I live in Washington.

I propose a youtube video campaign intended as a tutorial about how to get over vaginaphobia. Step one: saying the word vagina.

If you like this you should really watch the Governor’s full announcement to introduce the legislation if you haven’t already – makes me beyond proud to be a Washingtonian! :)

Thank you for pointing that out – turns out cretin had been wrongly defined to me and with dirtbag I certainly wasn’t thinking of any of the urban dictionary definitions but it really doesn’t seem to matter anyway because the more “old school” definition certainly seems classist. Any two ways about it it certainly seems [...]

To chime in from a prevention education standpoint as someone who works in the schools providing sexual harassment education – I agree that it would be and is beneficial to address some forms of sexual harassment as a form of bullying. With many of the things I address when talking with students I could easily [...]

I am all for the funny in pretty much every situation. While I don’t feel like I have much to add to the debate on whether or not the name “Boehner Killers” incites violence (although, as a general lover of puns, I gotta say it falls a little short considering how he actually pronounces his [...]

I thought that incessant talk about man-caves had died out a bit but apparently I either stuck my head in the sand or it’s making a comeback. The DIY network is hosting this sweepstakes: http://www.diynetwork.com/diy-ultimate-man-cave-sweepstakes/package/index.html which gives that extra push in promoting their 6-season show “Man-Caves”. Interestingly, the current sweepstakes commercial does portray a woman [...]

For whatever my two cents may be worth, because I can really only speak for myself here, the shock I feel at what Wolf has to say in this case comes primarily from the rape myths that she seems to be espousing in order to support Assange, and not from an application of the idea [...]

The argument is so ludicrous that I’m having serious trouble wrapping my head around the fact that someone even thought it in the first place, much less said it…
