I’m all for letting women in combat positions like the infantry but just don’t lower the standards for them like what has already been done with all branches except the Marines. To date, the Marines are the only branch that separate men and women in recruit training because the guys get trained a little harder.

Now that you mention it, once gun control was talked about I think most people forgot about the domestic violence part. Also, I heard someone say on a sports radio show that the NFL would rather bring attention to gun control than any brain damage because of the legal issues they have had with concussions. [...]

Jovan Belcher was an NFL linebacker. For those that don’t follow football linebackers are pretty strong dudes. He happened to have a gun but even if he didn’t he could’ve easily killed his girlfriend with his bare hands or a kitchen knife. I disagree with republicans on some things but when it comes to guns, [...]

It makes sense for aging people of both genders in many professions to make way for a younger replacement. Admittedly, older men do get preferential treatment which is ironic because women live longer. I don’t remember Dick Cheney’s age but he was suffering from heart problems it seems throughout the Bush years. No one thought [...]

  • Robert commented on the blog post Breaking: Mitt Romney is still a jerk   1 year, 9 months ago · View

There was a report that Romney cancelled his worker’s credit cards when he lost the election and left them stranded. When they got to the airport they had to pay out of pocket to go home. I used to have some respect for Romney but if that’s how he treated people that were helping him [...]

If unisex bathrooms become common I would hope there are urinals. They are much more convenient. In Sweden, which happens to be the most feminist country in the world, they have unisex bathrooms everywhere. I was annoyed having to go to a stall every time I only wanted to piss when I could be in [...]

  • I think I was looking at wrong data regarding when the last time democrats controlled Congress. Either way, the republicans maintained control and they are clearly at odds with the Obama administration. We’ll see how well they are willing to work together.

  • I see that Obama got reelected and all these rape apologists got defeated, but how are republicans still in control of Congress? I’ve never voted so I don’t know what the forms look like. I thought all candidates for all positions are voted for at the same time. Did people vote for Obama and also [...]

  • Some of the best things from the election will be the spread of gay marriage rights and legalization of marijuana (well at least in two states so far). I hold some conservative views but when it comes to gay marriage my view is “live and let live.” I know religious people that hate the idea [...]

  • Robert commented on the blog post Republican men need to shut up about rape forever   1 year, 9 months ago · View

Ok. I should’ve worded it better. I just find entertainment in how ridiculous these comments are. Like the one where someone said a woman’s body would have evolved to reject a sperm if raped so as not to get pregnant. This wasn’t as ridiculous as that but when he questions “how does that make this [...]

It’s way too easy to piss off pro-choice women. I am pro-choice as well but I don’t get angry when republicans make comments against abortions. It’s quite entertaining actually.

  • Robert commented on the blog post CNN posts and takes down sexist study of women’s hormones and voting   1 year, 10 months ago · View

I was responding to someone about the topic of women voting for a man they find attractive. Now that you mention men doing the same regarding how attractive a woman is I’ll be fair and say you’re right. Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann come to mind. In fact, I think part of the hatred a [...]

“2. Do you seriously think I vote for someone because I think they would make a good mate rather than how I think they would do their job” Hey Allie I hate to break it to you but some women will vote for a man because he is more attractive and they might even be [...]

  • The article admits that a “small number of women lie” about rape. That is a huge deal. That’s why men that really do rape get away with it because sometimes the public will overestimate their innocence due to a previous case where an innocent man was wrongly accused. The most famous example of this in [...]

  • I’m strongly pro choice but don’t like the idea of my tax dollars funding it. That’s a huge issue with many pro lifers and people that would otherwise be neutral. Why should we pay for someone’s mistake? That being said, if abortion (like drugs) were legal everywhere the prices for getting one would be a [...]

  • Sounds like she definitely supports the republicans. Only a republican would say something like that about the unemployed. It’s worth noting there are some lazy people that are unemployed but many just can’t get a job.

  • Robert commented on the blog post Quick hit: Sex strike as a political weapon   1 year, 11 months ago · View

A sex strike wouldn’t work in the US. There are a lot of men (even married ones) that don’t get sex anyway so that wouldn’t affect them. Most guys would just turn to porn or Asian massage parlors until women got bored and let guys in again.

With the latest republican gaffe from Todd Akin, Obama and Joe Biden have to fail miserably with voters if they lose the election.

  • Robert commented on the blog post Why Paul Ryan is bad news for women (and everyone else)   2 years ago · View

You’re right that he sounds friendly as hell. I can’t judge his looks the way women can but it appears the general consensus is that he is attractive. Unfortunately (or fortunately for some) looks matter in our society. I’m sure Romney considered this when he chose him because there are stupid women out there that [...]

Most dishonest ever? I have to go with Nixon.
