Nobody even bothered to help, they just watched in silence.

There’s a few things you should know about me: I was a daddy’s girl and I’ve always had really protective uncles – I was raised in an environment where I always saw the best in men. I lost my father at the age of 14 due to complications after he attempted to commit suicide, so I lived with my mother and younger sister for quite some time now. I am currently completely my Bachelor’s degree at Queen’s University.

I was on my way back to campus with my mother and sister on the train in London, England (I was doing a year abroad), when two men decided to sit in the seats across from us. Of course they were drunk (lucky us…) and for some stupid reason the lady selling drinks and snacks sold these two idiots beers. My gut instinct was to move to other seats, but we had to many bags with us and they payed no attention to us. At first.

After a while they started harassing my mother and I asking us what time it was and whether or not we wanted to get a drink with them. Quite frankly, I was disgusted by them and we payed them no attention and just ignored them. Then they started putting their hands on my mother and just claiming that they were trying to be friendly. Meanwhile the train is FULL and nobody is even bothering to help and tell these guys off. Men were watching, and women were watching. Cowards.

So my mother threatened to call the police and tried to get a hold of security but the drunk men just kept laughing at us. Then they started yelling at us calling us “sluts” and “f*cking cunts”. I burst out crying while my little sister just stared in shock and terror.
