    Barney Frank is not an advocate for LGBT issues. He’s an advocate for gay issues, with lesbians as an afterthought. He’s not an advocate for trans issues at all, and is indeed completely regressive on them, supporting a national bathroom bill that would force trans people into the wrong bathrooms, endangering and embarrassing them.

    Personally, I worry more that hormonal male contraceptives (while a great idea) are going to have even more men insisting that a condom isn’t necessary.

    I’m on the pill because a 3-month cycle of Yaz smooths out my otherwise-nasty hormonal cycle (which, in turns, affects my bipolar). It’s not my primary form of birth control, and the only reason it ever would be is if I was in a committed, long-term, fluid-bonded relationship with a guy — and then he had better be on the pill, too. I’ve had one unintended pregnancy and one abortion, and I’d really prefer not to go through that again, if I can help it.

    B) You’re a misogynist.
    C) Men regularly get off or get light sentences when there’s far more evidence that they killed their wife and kids.
