Hi Jenny, I do go to gallery opening (but there aren’t many in my town) when I can and I do try to participate in activities that I enjoy. It’s just these activities rarely attract single, straight men!

Hi sorry for the late reply Matt, You made several valid points. It may definitely take more than a year to find someone. It did last time I was on this site. At my age it is harder. Most men my age have been divorced. And of course, if you have been divorced that means [...]

I understand what you saying Nazza, the reality of trying to find someone in a town like mine, which is very family oriented is difficult. Probably, I should move. Its kind hard though most of my friends and family are here, or near where I live. In the real world I never found anyone interesting [...]

Hi Honeybee, I really don’t mean my post to sound like I am opposed to online dating. Actually, I think it can be a good way to meet people. And, like you, I too enjoy being able to weed men out. I like the fact that upfront you know that your potential partner likes Bush [...]

So, my tentative New Year’s resolution is to get my hands out of my own pants and down someone else’s. I say tentative because I have been down the slippery path of online dating before – and I know what I’m in for. Nonetheless, I have decided to dust off my old Match.com profile and try [...]

To Heather- I don’t condone faking myself, though I do understand it. As I said in my blog, in the end, it is the woman who really gets shorted. As you pointed out, some men expect you to qualify your response. For women who are really invested in their partner’s approval, it is hard to [...]

I think men take pride as you put it because of the general assumption that they are the doer and she is the doee. In other words, they think that they are “giving” her an orgasm. When in reality she is giving herself one.

The publication of one the largest sex studies (The National Survey of Sexual Health and Behavior) in recent years has once again revealed an orgasm discrepancy between men and women. The media has been especially riveted by the news reports that while 85% of men reported that their female partners had an orgasm during their last [...] -

In my experience, it has been mainly men who do this. But on another site that I am on, one guy (who was “not the smiley” type) said that he had this happen to him all the time. I still think this kind of thing is more male to female, but I also believe that [...]

Hi,
I really don’t know of any good come-back that is actually polite. Usually, I wind up glaring at them. I guess that’s not too polite. lol. -

Yes, I think so. I can’t imagine why any guy in his right mind would approach a woman the way he approached. I mean that it was so weird.

Hi,
Thanks for your comments. I found your comment fascinating. Sorry to be late responding, but I am finding Feministing’s software perplexing. I never really thought of it like a slave action, and I never knew that slaves were literally expected to do a song and dance. Wow, that’s bad. -
