I forget how fortunate I’ve been out here in Sonoma County, CA, where I’ve had Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein representing me in the Senate, and Lynn Woolsey as my Congressperson (she’s retiring, being replaced by the wonderful Mike Thompson).
Bravo for the rest of the women joining them in Washington, D.C. in January.

Yes. This. I don’t know why we’re still having this conversation. While I have all the sympathy in the world for rape victims who need abortion care in addition to their other care, forcing anyone to carry an unwanted pregnancy should be given the same amount of sympathy. I only support abortion with certain limitations. [...]

Oh, this is really quite disheartening.
I guess someone needs to remind her that “I certainly believe in equal rights” + ” I believe that women are just as capable” = feminism.
Maybe Cailin Moran will send her a congratulations note.
