ACTUALLY as a disabled person, there are a LOT of disabled people including myself who resent “person first” language because it implies our disabilities are somehow “opposed” to our humanity, or make us somehow less human. There are others who prefer terms like “differently abled”; I’m not one of them.

Totally agree here. I’m a person who teeters at several intersections, and I’ve found myself shouted down, invalidated, and accused of being “the enemy” in some ostensibly feminist spaces recently.
