And pray tell, where ARE the “non-crazy” pictures of Bachmann? Her eyes don’t track quite together and she constantly looks startled. Yes, this picture is a bad one but I’ve yet to see one where she doesn’t look a bit off. And frankly? I don’t feel sorry for her. This is a woman who believes [...]

Also, I hate to tell you this, but Bachmann’s ideas (and Bachmann herself) are genuinely nuts. If this article (which is nowhere near as damning as the current New Yorker article) help bring this to America before it’s too late, I can forgive them a ridiculous cover shot. This woman is dangerous.

Not surprising at all. Evidently both Bieber and his mother are devout evangelical Christians.

That quip about one school to bed and another to wed isn’t confined to men dissing women at ”sister schools.” Smith and Mount Holyoke have been slinging it each other for decades…and once we graduate, we care only that we went to a women’s college, so it’s not all that important.

That said, I’m very disturbed to see such an attitude at Barnard. The administration at that school has fought hard to avoid the fate of Radcliffe, and it’s a shame to see the students being shamed because the school is still a separate institution.

I can’t imagine anything creepier than getting a love letter from someone I’ve never met. Isn’t that a form of stalking?

I’ve used unoccupied men’s rooms fairly often when women’s rooms had long lines. If there’s no cop or venue manager/employee in eyesight, I knock and head on in if it’s a choice between that and wetting myself in public….

Uh…the Quilters Hall of Fame has MEN in it. Four of them, to be accurate: William Dunton (quilt historian), Jonathan Holstein (quilt historian and collector), Jeffrey Gutcheon (fabric designer), and Michael James (studio quilter and teacher). Its mission statement doesn’t mention women’s history once…and given how many quilters have used their work to promote causes [...]

I’m glad mother and child are doing well. Pre-eclampsia and HELLP are terrifying. One thing that Feministing readers can do for local women and their babies: give blood, especially platelets. I’m a registered blood donor at my local hospital, and I specifically give platelets because I’m negative for cytomegalovirus, which can be fatal to very [...]
