This is somewhat of a pedantic point, but Alan Watts pointed out that the term drive suggest the metaphor of being driven which is to say being pushed around by external forces that one has no power over or does not identify with as being part of oneself (aside from being an occasional annoyance). I’m not sure what the adequate replacement is though: sexual instincts? sexual nature? sexual motivation? lol
