  • Preach it! =D (As a severely skinny female who doesn’t want to be this way but can’t seem to gain any weight I can honestly say I wish I could have the body of the average woman. So that way I could be 1.) normal and 2.) have something to be proud of about my [...]

I agree with your stomp and holler name. Slutwalk is definately an amazing thing, and the name is very attention grabbing but it doesn’t fully convey what the movement is about. Good luck and blessings on your protesters. =)

agreed. I still use such terms a fuck, that sucks and got/get. Now I understand why it makes such a bad taste in my mouth when I or anyone else says such things. I hate the word fuck, it is to me a sexual act without love or care of the other person (Like when [...]

I wonder why they did that in the first place? Why make people guard bathrooms if not for the safety of the people using them? I’d personally love to know how and why all of this guarding of bathrooms got started. TW(?) (On that note I can’t help but think that maybe they thought it [...]

    “Hey rapists! Go fuck yourselves!”

God do I wish I had been there to yell that at the top of my lungs with everyone else! I can’t wait for the next Slutwalk in my area so i have a chance of going and being active for other women.

    Keep being awesome!

Oh and btw even the sexist ad has its psychological twist in there. It makes some women who wont take, “you can’t do this” for an answer and therefore cause many women to buy this to drink it to prove the company wrong. It’s used to make women buy the product out of spite. (I’s [...]

  • Ariel commented on the blog post Sex Work is a Feminist Issue!   2 years, 9 months ago · View

I personally don’t have a problem with prostitustes. I have a problem with sex work. Mostly because it is for some underage girls the only way to get money when living on the street. And especially for the fact that it is so easy for someone to traffic women and children in it. I am [...]

My two favorites are 1. You shall not rape. For whatever reason I got a laugh out of that. =D Just awesomeness. (Yes i am a LOTR fan.)
And 2. If I was asking for it I would ask for it. (DAMN STRAIGHT! Enthusiastic consent is everything.)

My boyfriend doesn’t call himself a feminist. And not all of his views are female positive (but then again no one is perfect and even I don’t have everything down pat). But for the most part he is a feminist. He recognizes the world, the injustices and how women arn’t treated fairly. He doesn’t claim [...]

As someone who has chosen not to have children, ever, can you tell me (another never parent person) what to expect? I know people will probably tell me that I should be married and having kids at 30 or w/e age I’m at when they tell me these things (I also dislike the whole church [...]

I’m with you on this one. I’ve had the same question pop into my head. How can someone have good sex without ANY knowledge of what sex really is. I know they get things from the bible but the bible isn’t exactly a great detailer on how a girl should be really wet or how [...]

I can’t take much more of this. Rape culture. It’s not just america its the whole world. I want to believe that rape can be brought down. If not stopped entirely then made to be not taboo about talking about it and made so that women feel free and know how to properly report rape. as well as point it out, to themselves and others. I feel like commiting suicide over this. Knowing that in war so many women are being raped, by thier own countrymen and by anyone elses. So many women are having thier souls destroyed every day. I don’t know if I can live in this world much longer. I’m not going to do anything bad right now. But I seriously feel like killing myself or going out and killing many, many men who are doing these things to women. I’m glad for then someone reports it, when people see it as wrong. But there is so much more going on that is silent, knowing that is a great burden to my mind. I almost wish I could be ignorant again. Just so I didn’t have to live in fear and hate anymore. I don’t know how anyone else can go on with thier lives normally with all this going on. I want to throw myself into helping women who have been raped. and helping to stop rape from occuring, but I don’t know where to start. If anyone reads this. Please give me some direction.

I like my body. I’m underweight and would like to change that. But other then that unhealthiness, I love my body. Mostly because of the song “Everybodys Free (To Wear Sunscreen)” It has a line that says ‘Dance. Use your body, every way you can. don’t be afraid of it or what other people think [...]
