Grassroots feminist activists get together for Student Feminist Conference

This month the London Student Feminist Network presents the Student Feminist Conference 2013, which will take place at the University of London Union on the weekend of the 23rd and 24th February. Organised by grassroots activists from an array of universities, colleges and schools in and around London, this event is an opportunity for feminists of all genders to get together, share ideas and reflect on the current state of feminist activism.

The Student Feminist Conference 2013 will include training workshops, skill-shares and other discussion-based sessions on a variety of different topics, including an introduction to feminism, how to set up societies, sex work, trans* and black feminism, mental health, feminism in further education, intersectionality and organising in the workplace. There will also be self-defining caucuses for LGBTQ, disabled and BME activists and carers/parents.
