Bias at DMV in Virginia

The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles has a specialized license plate that is bright yellow and reads ‘Choose Life.’ As a pro choicer, this angers me everytime I see it because the DMV is a government-funded organization and they are certainly showing their bias through this plate. This would not be the case if pro choicers, like me, were given the option to buy a specialized pro choice plates, or there were no plates about abortion at all, but this is not the case. On the lack of ‘real’ porn

Tonight I found myself in the mood to view some porn, but my dilemma became the lack of porn that focuses the camera an equal amount on the male participant and the female participant. BRAVE: Pixar’s new movie breaking boundaries!

While in the theater to see The Muppets last night, I saw this trailer for Pixar’s new movie, Brave. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this movie has an incredibly strong female lead that defies the odds in her society and becomes something great! This is definitely a female empowering film. This film appears to illustrate the importance of fighting the traditional or objective role in which society places women.

I’m certainly going to support this movie at the box office as soon as it hits theaters, are you?
