I Was Told I Needed Plastic Surgery

Because apparently there are no roles for actresses who are “too Jewish-looking” (nevermind that I’m Italian).

Recently I took an acting class with a woman in Los Angeles, and it went as such: Do a scene, get feedback. While the other students received comments regarding their acting skills, I was called out of the room to get some private notes beginning with, “What are we going to do about your face?”

A Cure For Cat-Calling?

After a particularly heavy evening of street harassment I wrote this piece for the Huffington Post: A Cure For Cat-Calling. It’s dedicated to anyone who’s ever been a victim of street harassment (aka if you’re a woman that’s been outside). It’s also dedicated to street harassers, but I’m not sure they read the Huffington Post ( or read at all for that matter. Dumb jerks). Please enjoy and spread it around!
