Hello Feministing, this is my first ever post here. Some of you may have noticed the most recent ad by Subway. A woman goes up to a hamburger counter and asks what comes with the combo meal. The smug clerk replies “Loss of self-esteem, boyfriend, etc…” This is incredibly sexist and reinforces so many of the stereotypes we are trying to free women of. Not to mention it flies in the face of people suffering from eating disorders.
