This is so WRONG:

This is so wrong on so many levels!

I know this is not exactly a feminist issue, but if we don’t fight to protect men in situations like this then fighting for women in situations like this will be invalidated.

The worst part is, that couple did everything right they could have done, and still it was ignored.

Keep up the fight for GBLTIQ marriage, with a marriage license (and the legal ramifications thereof)  this never would have happend to these poor folks.

So, how can I continue this conversation?

 I was having a conversation with a dear friend of mine about feminism. He asked me to point out anything on the books, now in the Supreme Court or other lawmaking body that is oppressive to women, outside of reproductive rights ( which always ends in a huge ideological fight for us).  I couldn’t think of anything outside of the wage gap, and when I offered him the fact that women make 30%-40% less the men, he asked me where I might find that fact that wasn’t here on Feministing, or another such source.

OK State Rep. Sally Kern strikes again

RAR RAR RAR RARR! This is fun.

Seems my beloved representitive is at it again, I am sure you all remember her deplorable remarks about homosexuals and “the gay agenda” not too long ago?

I can’t take it anymore! How did this woman even get voted in again?!?

What kills me the most is that this state wasn’t ever predominately Christian! We were founded as a dumping ground for Native Americans, not to mention there were tribes already here long before Europeans even settled this far!

In recent years this state has tried it’s best to reflect respect for the Native Americans, by the Gods this state’s name is Algonquin! (I think, IDK it means red people in some native american langauge, ...

Tired of being a “skinny bitch”

So, I notice this often, and I’m really, really sick of it.
I hear it here occasionally, actually in many places where women come together to talk about being women.
We’ve all heard of fat-shaming, but ever heard of skinny-shaming?
I am a naturally small woman. I am tall, I am skinny, and I’m fucking healthy. I weigh 115 lbs. I’m 5’8, I wear an A cup, I even wear a size 2 in jeans.
I guess that makes me a bitch. Or worse yet, a skinny bitch.
I have something to say to all of you or anyone who would insult me because of my size.
