Teehee what a strange and wonderful talent!
that made me laugh. what a cutie.
Damn it! Now I want one too! Jesus! I really want one! And those little cheeks - I could so pinch them! Ugh!
And who says we feminists are anti-children? :0)
Got several. This is a personal preference, but I like raising preschoolers far better than toddlers. My kids have all been mostly on-time developmentally, and they've all been effective walkers before they could speak more than a few words. I find it really hard to keep up with the little mobile tricksters when they want to open every cabinet and put every object in their mouths. Plus, when they get sick, it's a bigger deal: mine have bounced in and out of hospitals for various reasons, and it's scarier in our house when they are smaller. But I've now had the pleasure of listening to a preschooler with a vivid imagination tell stories and play pretend games, and I'll take that over the diaper ages easily.
I'm with you, Thomas. I adore my son (age two), but I can't wait until he's a little older. Unlike his older sister who listened very well and stayed out of stuff, he is into everything all the time. Plus, with the age difference between my children and the amount of crap my daughter leaves around, there's always something for him to bend, break, or color the walls/dog/himself with. Three is a delight though - that's when everything is truly exciting for them and they get to share that excitement with you and give you all those interesting theories about how things work, etc. It's just pure entertainment for me. I can't wait.
Of course, I hope he won't grown out of his evil laugh complete with menacing hand gesture or calling his sister, Maggie, "Gie Gie".
That is pretty funny indeed.
But who in their right mind gives a child that young a chocolate encased ice cream cone?
As a parent of a 4 yr old and a 9 mo old, I am amazed at the crappy food people shove down their kids. Please don't shove sugar down your kids' throats!
HA HA. My family and I have been cracking up at this.
(Yes, I was surprised at the ice cream cone, too).
Adorable. As an au pair, though, I must advise you to be careful what you wish for. Children are insane.

I'm not going to drive-by parent on the ice cream. I do not have any way of knowing if that's a once in a blue moon special treat or an everyday food. If you could see the cake-in-the-hair pictures of my kids on their first birthdays, would you conclude that they got a steady diet of cake? Probably not. I'll go with the agnostic position of "I don't know how they're raising their kid" and leave them alone.
Vanessa, when you say, "I want one." you're talking about the chocolate ice cream cone, right?
(Kidding)
You want one? Here, take mine.
Kidding, of course. I think. :)
The video's gone now! Youtube took it away, why, why? I want to see! What was she doing?
Was that a he or a she? I thought it was a boy? Speaking of which, I saw a little boy the other day, no more than six months I guess, and when he was told to kiss me, he just placed his mouth on my face and started drooling ...it was cute as shit, albeit a bit nasty. Baby drool. Ewww.
DBR, you have got to be kidding me. Way to miss the point!
That video is the cutest.
DBR - i had to think the same thing, but mostly because peanuts are an allergy and choking hazard.
just things you notice when you have little people.
