OMG! Only on Feministing would I hear the news first! :awe:
Now. Off to read that article!
WHOOO HOOOO How fricking awesome is that? So exciting! No more City Council meetings, thank GOD because I have yet to recover from last week's!
YES!!! I've been following the story and I must say this is a relief and I'm sure the women who've scheduled appointments there must feel the same way
yay! i have been following this story all over the net...i am SO relieved to hear this great news!
Yay! See, today's not as depressing as it started out!
WOOO HOOOO! I am feeling a tad bit hopeful!
Sweet! =D Finally, we see some rational people taking rational actions in the government/state.
Great News! and hats off to everyone who made the city of
Aurora see the light.
Fantastic news, this has made my day.
Fantastic news, this has made my day.
Woo..hoo! Let's all celebrate tonite and then tomorrow start making plans to support the Clinic against whatever the Rightwing plans next. One thing I'll say about the Rightwing, they don't give up easy!
Do a little dance...
After clapping right now, I couldn't help it...eeh! I had to send them a congratulatory email! Yeahhh!
Funny thing in the article is that 3 separate lawyers told the city there was no legal basis for denying PP a permit, then they finally relented.
What is up with Illinois? It killed the ERA in 1982. It is the home of O'Bama and Hilary. This state eeks by, as if it is blue - and poof - it is not progressive. You don't consider it in the bible belt, but its got lots of farms. Gotta watch Illinois.
OH YAY. This is such fantastic news. I hope those women with appointments that didn't happen due to the clinic not opening are still in time to get their abortions and birth control.
Great news indeed, Ann! I would have posted the story before all of you at Feministing had I not been burned out yesterday afternoon. After all, I saw the news broke on the NY Times web page.
Yippee! I was worried there for a while. I'm glad so many people fought to get this done.
