New Kansas AG will keep abortion records
As elated as I was to see Kansas AG Phill Kline ousted, the newly elected Democrat Paul Morrison isn't making me feel a whole lot better. He said he opposed Kline's investigations of the state's abortion clinics... but then more or less pledged to continue them:
Morrison said he will look at the evidence collected by Kline’s office and determine whether any crimes need to be prosecuted.“I’m not sure that it would be right or fair to just turn them back over (to the clinics), he said.
At least he's not saying it would be "right or fair" to leak them to Bill O'Reilly. Still, not the most encouraging thing I've read today.

btw, Paul Morrison is a former republican who changed to democrat (last fall) just to run against phill kline.
It may be a wise move. He can "look at the evidence" (wink wink) because after all, few taxpayers like the idea of collecting evidence and then openly throwing it away because a new party happens to come into office.
The proof will be in what happens down the road when there are other things for the public, and conservatives, to focus on.
It's Kansas, what do you expect?
Well, Morrison was a Republican and then went Democrat. I see that more as a rat-escaping-a-sinking-ship maneuver, and it looks like it's done him well. My sister voted for Kline in the last election, and it's been quite a row trying to explain to her ID-loving-ass why he's not a good AG, what with the schpiel about all children experimenting sexually w/ each other are to be charged simultaneously as victims and offenders bullshit.
