Hooray! I hope he enjoyed those medical records while he had them.
phill kline got trounced!
my parents, sworn republicans, were even voting against him. so tells you how extreme he is, even in the land of creationism.
good
fucking
riddance
there were a lot of long time republicans who were so disgusted with kline they voted democrat.
we also got rid of ryun (finally!) so now kansas has 2 of 4 representatives being democrat and and now 1 of 4 is a woman.
i guess we are evolving ;-)
i'm also glad sebelius got reelected for govenor. but then, kansas has had a tradition of democrat govenors despite sending republicans to washington.
My best friend is a die-hard Christian conservative and even she thought Kline was nuts.
We were pretty excited about it here in Ks. Pre-election polling showed that 30% of Reps voted for the Dem. Kline's attempt to subpoena confidential medical records went way too far, even for Bible Belt voters.
I've been dying to vote against Kline since I moved here four years ago. Now let's hope that the leak in his office is investigated and prosecuted!
The only KS results I'm bummed about are two judges that were retained - Henry W. Green, Jr. and Tom Malone, who both voted to uphold Matthew Limon's 17-year sentence.
Nobody on this thread could be more happy, than I, for I am from Kansas, from Johnson County in fact, the richest district with the richest schools, and I say the most pressure and interest from/for our politicians. Yikes, it's nuckin futs around here!
It felt so good to vote against Kline. To vote for Democrats and Liberterians, and wonder if I should vote for the one guy on the Reform party. Hell, I decided to mix things up and voted for him.
